Wild Jack Rabbit Releasing Query

Greetings rabbit matters forum,

Just looking for an answer from those of which I'm sure are far more knowledgeable than myself.

About 4 days ago my girlfriend found what appears to be a 10-14 day wild jack rabbit abandoned and after a full day without its mother retrieving it we took it in and have been feeding it Formula and greens and is recovering fine.

From what I understand it should be released about two weeks from now once it is big enough.

My question is; would releasing the rabbit close to mid September give the rabbit adequate time to adjust before either? Where I live it is already dipping into the mid 50's at night.

Any other tips could be useful, thanks!
