Its kind of dark

Hi everyone
This is Thumper. He is very sweet and mellow. I got him from an auction and I have always been curious about what breed of rabbit he is.

I believe he might be a lionhead because he has some longer hair behind his ears but he does not look like ones in pictures. Please help?

Probably cross between a Netherland dwarf, a lion head, and a little bit of angora( not lots, otherwise it would be super fluffy.

He does have the coloring of some of the neither lands, plus he is on the small side so it could be possible

Breed NEW

This rabbit is a lionhead cross. While he does look to have silver marten or otter color, having a mane immediately places him under Lionhead.

Silver Marten NEW
by: Anonymous

It looks like it could be a silver marten - I was looking at purchasing this particular breed before finding a Flemish giant breeder and deciding on a beautiful blue Flemish giant doe. Anyways, from what i remember of the breed, they normally have a black or brown coat on top and a beautiful whitish/grey "silver" undercarriage with similar coloring around the eyes. This could be a mix but from all the research I did on this particular breed it appears to be spot on. Search silver martens online (Wikipedia) and see for yourself
