Hello
My rabbit has fur mites. How best should I be treating the wooden box and environment to kill the mites please?

Getting rid of rabbit mites

Obviously the first thing to do is to make sure you have got rid of the mites on the rabbit and then BEFORE introducing back into the rabbit's own environment you will need to clean everything, hutch, run, accessories etc. I found the best way is to use a mild antiseptic liquid. Dilute in warm water and just scrub everything. It may take a bit of time but you will know for sure the mites have been got rid of.If you hit the ' Rabbit health' tab on this site, there is a helpful page on rabbit mites
