Rabbit won’t poop

Help! This has been ongoing for almost 2 weeks! My bunny won’t poop!

He seems to be eating a little bit never any poopy. Brought him to our vet, which did a very quick exam then gave me same antibiotics and anti inflammatories and just said he’ll get better.

Well after 5 days he didn’t. So I brought him back and the vet said there’s nothing he can do. I’m wondering why he didn’t ask to take X-ray to see if there’s a possible blockage, he’s been laying on his stomach all the time, seems to be in pain

Any help please

try banana peels
by: Anonymous

If the blockage is due to hairballs, a lady I bought a bunny from said that banana peels fed to them clear up the hairballs, that is what she uses! I got "organic" bananas and washed the peels with soap and water then rinsed them and give them to my bunnies. So far no problems. She said that the hairballs can make them not eat and then not poop. It's worth a try if they are eating and not pooping.

☹️ unfortunately we live in a very small town and that vet was the only one within 200 km. Our bunny did indeed pass away last night. Very sad, and also very disappointed in our vet

I’m so sorry... buns really need to be pooping and urinating! I’m afraid your buns in trouble 😢 I’d take him to another vet ( exotic) vet. Buns digestive system runs like a convarer belt and if it’s not I can be deadly to your bun. I hope he’s ok but PLEASE take him to another vet!
