My rabbits behaviour has changed

by Cheryl
(Stockport)

Hi
My rabbit ruby has started using the whole house as a toilet, she's never done this before and always used to use her litter tray! She's also started to follow me everywhere! She's around 6 months old.
Can anyone help please?

Litter habits and puberty NEW
by: Anonymous

It sounds to me like it's time to have her spayed. My false dwarf - Truffle - did this at around five months. It's called breaking litter habits and they do it when they reach sexual maturity and are trying to assert their dominance of territory. She's basically telling you "Mom, I'm in puberty and I own this entire house! See? My poop and stuff is everywhere which means it's mine, also don't leave me because I donno what's happening to my body!"
All rabbits that you do not intend on breeding should be spayed/neutered. Especially females, as not spaying could lead to reproductive system illnesses and cancers.

Best of luck!
