My rabbit Maple Rose

Hi
We have a 3.5 yr old Lionhead bunny. My children have developed severe allergies to her and so not interact with her much.

My son will, regardless and 5/10 min later has sneezing fits and itchy watery eyes that last for hours. She loves him the most (11) and licks his hands as soon as he’s near her. .. her way of showing love and excitement. She rarely licks my hands but grunts affectionately when I pick her up.

She is gaining weight but she doesn’t exercise much. I used to let her free in the house but each and every time she has chewed cords, eaten the paint off of the wall(which I fear she will die from!) so it’s safer her to be caged.

When I let her out she is so destructive. And when she is out she runs a few round of the room and then sits in the corner. She lives in our finished basement in a bi level house. I give her a balanced diet and visit her briefly daily.

I prefer keeping her but I’m afraid if someone else takes her she could be passed on and I just feel that i can take better care of her and have peace of mind that she she is safe and warm etc.

I just don’t know how to exercise her. Maybe she should have a companion? A smaller bunny that she might care for?
Please advise... thank you in advance🐰
