mopsy

My rabbit is called Mopsy, I am pretty sure it is a mini lop, but she has chunks of hair coming out of her back. I was wondering what it is and what could be done about it. Any suggestions

Hollie. I suggest you take your rabbit to the vets as I strongly suspect your rabbit has mites. You may not be able to see them with the naked eye but clumps of hair coming off of the back is a good indication of mites

Chunks Of Hair Falling Out- MItes
by: Anonymous

I think your rabbit has mites, and you can get injections at the vets to get rid of them, but if the rabbit has inherited them from it's mother then they are likely to come back. My own rabbit has had them about 4 times. She has an injection then after a while they come back. So ,if they are inherited it can be an ongoing process, although even if inherited, this is not always the case.it is a question of try it and see
