food

Hello

I have a 12 week old dwarf Netherland male. Is it okay to leave food in his bowl all the time?

Thanks

From what is good for the rabbit is to have HAY access all day. They should have 75% of their diet HAY. I also leave a container of pellets for them to get to all day. There is i big controversy about what to feed them and what not to feed of veggies and greens. I believe that no ICE-BURG LETTUCE should be give at any time! Cabbage, beans,
parsnips, rhubarb are not good either.
Things that I see that they say not to give to rabbits others say they give this to their rabbit. So, the best thing to do is try ONE new thing at a time for three. Just a small amount, see what the droppings look like. If no change then a little is no problem. Feed everything in moderation and if you find something they ready like don't over feed this to them. You can us this as a treat to do or have done something you want to encourage them to do. A bowl of extra food should be taken out after 24 hours and you can return it w/ the same thing if you are trying some thing out w/ them for three days to a week. It is best to not change a rabbits diet to much, JUST FIND A FEW THINGS THEY LIKE.
