Does my rabbit have an ear Infection?

My rabbit has been scratching her ears for the past 3 days. Today she was shaking pretty bad and that scared me so I looked it up.

The results were an ear infection. This led me to call my veterinarian and she said it may just be a wax build up, but I am not sure.

Inside her ear, it looks pretty crusty and there is a light tan substance sticking to parts in her ear. It looks crunchy/ crusty.

I do not know if it is just a wax build up or an ear infection, but if it is either, how do you treat/ clean it. My vet is pretty busy these days.
