Can Someone Help Determine The Breed of My Lop Eared Rabbit?

by Sara Bertrand
(Ontario, Canada)

Hello

I got my rabbit from a farm when he was a baby.

They didn't know the breed, only that he was a lop eared rabbit. He weighs approx. 5 pounds and is four years old, so he is full grown.

I thought he may be a French Lop Eared rabbit but I'm not certain. Can sometime determine the breed by looking at his pictures? Thanks.

Yes,I think that he is either a Holland lop or a mini lop. One really helpful website is justrabbits.com. It gives you lots of different lop breeds with a pic. and description to go with it. Hope this helps.

My opinion would be that he is probably a holland lop.. French lops are really large, and they can weigh up to 18 pounds! I have two french lops and they are really big. Seeing that he is full grown thats the regular size of a holland lop.
I hoped I helped!!!!
