We just noticed that our 14 month old Netherland Dwarf rabbit is losing a measurable amount of hair on his hind end. Is this normal?

Can anyone help please?

Normal molting (hopefully)
or Flystrike, which is deadly. If he smells bad too he needs a vet IMMEDIATLY.

One time my 7 year old lionhead was shedding and i thought he had flystrike, good thing he didn't. Then my very young 2 month old dwarf hotot and her sister got flystrike, she died but her sister lived and is currently 11 months old. Confusing!

a vet if he smells bad
by: me

I hope this is not the case, but the rabbit could also have flystrike which you can find on youtube. If he looking unwell and smells bad then he will be in a lot of pain and need to get to a vet straight away. Hopefully this isn't whats happened tho. good luck
